Jhené Aiko‘s debut mixtape sailing soul(s) is finally available on streaming services — just in time to celebrate the project’s 10th anniversary. The singer self-released sailing soul(s) on March 16, 2011.
The release of the mixtape on streaming services is the artist’s “thank you” to loyal fans who have been with her since the very beginning. The 13-track project first marked Aiko’s arrival in LA’s music scene, giving her national recognition and leading her to a major label signing.
The moment also commemorates Aiko’s 33rd birthday and the one-year anniversary of her Grammy-nominated album Chilombo. Chilombo has earned three nominations for this year’s Grammy's, for Album of the Year, Best Progressive R&B Album, and a nod for Best R&B Performance for her John Legend-featuring song “Lightning & Thunder.” Aiko is also set to host the 63rd annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony.
