Sources have told Billboard that Kanye West's second Donda listening party racked in a whopping $7 million from in-person merch sales, despite no word on when the actual album will drop.
According to Billboard, Ye’s second Donda listening party has become the most-watched livestream in Apple Music history, garnering more than 5.4 million views on August 5. For comparison, Kanye’s first listening event at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium pulled in 3.3 million viewers on July 23, reportedly setting an Apple Music Global Livestream record at the time.
As fans wait for the album, they're buying up whatever Kanye is putting out. If merch for Donda alone is making West $7 million richer, imagine what album sales will look like.
