The Atlanta rapper drops the official remix to her smash hit "Big Energy" featuring music industry veterans Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled.
The collaboration comes after a series of cryptic tweets shared across social media from the two musicians. The single also became The Rap Game alum's first top twenty hit on Billboard this week and with the release of the remix, is eyeing a higher peak on next week's chart. The song which sample's Carey's iconic hit 'Fantasy', which was the first song by a woman to debut at #1 on the Hot 100.
The rapper took to Twitter to discuss how the unprecedented remix came about. "“I originally thought Mariah for the remix back in like November when it first started going up but didn’t think I could get her realistically".
The remix follows the release of Latto's new album '777' which dropped this past Friday, which features collaborations from artist like Carey, 21 Savage, Lil' Wayne, Childish Gambino and others.
The possibility of a '777' deluxe edition could also be coming our way sometime this year. "I think I might do a deluxe or an extended version, because like I was saying earlier, there are some songs that I wanted to be on the album that couldn’t make it in time".
The rapper is currently embarking on the North America leg of her '777' alongside rapper Saucy Santana.
