Taylor Swift unleashed her latest "From the Vault" gem on Wednesday, April 7. The previously unreleased track, from her Fearless era, is dubbed "Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor's Version)."
"Hello Mr. Perfectly Fine/ How's your heart after breaking mine?/ Mr. always at the right place at the right time, baby," she sings over the dreamy, mid-tempo acoustic track. "Hello, Mr. casually cruel/ Mr. everything revolves around you/ I've been Miss misery since your goodbye/ And you're Mr. Perfectly Fine."
In a tweet announcing the song, Swift wrote, "Me in 2020: life is chill, writing songs based in fiction to avoid drama, feeling pretty grown up My 2008 music from the vault, in a goblin voice: “REELEEEEEEASE MR PERFECTLY FIIIIIIINE."
The song has gained traction online as fans try to figure out the identity of "Mr. Perfectly Fine." So far, plenty have pointed fingers at Joe Jonas, who dated Swift for a few months in 2008 — during the Fearless timeframe — and famously broke up with her via text message.
