Okay, so you are known for how futuristic and unique you’re beats are. Why is sounding different so important to you?
You gotta stand out, you can't sound like everybody. Plus, I just be fucking with the different shit and doing me.
What are some specific things you do to ensure that your music doesn’t sound the same as other rappers?
For the most part, producers find me and send the tracks to me, and I fuck with them and use them. I don't really be looking around for shit anymore.
You‘ve set such a high bar for yourself what do you think it will take to maintain that bar and keep people on their toes?
I have to keep putting out music while people are listening. Can't let up. You have to take advantage of the situation you're in.
Ok so I know you’re from Chicago, How does being from Chicago add to you’re level of pride in the music industry, if it does.
People in the music people don't be fucking with Chicago people like that. That's one of the reasons why we have to try/work harder than other people. It just is what it is.
Who are some of the artists you grew up listening to, and how did they influence you?
Lil Wayne, Kanye, Jay Z, normal shit.
So your previous album “Cult of Adamn” did super well, what new music can we look forward to?
I just dropped a lil EP, so Imma just keep dropping shit from videos to music.
