Obama Approves Drake to Play Him in Possible Biopic

In 2010, Drake said that he'd love to play Obama in the event someone makes a movie about the former president's life. Ten years later, we're still talking about it.

Before he was rapping, he was acting. Aubrey Graham's acting debut was just a mere 19 years ago in 2001. His performance in Degrassi led to the artist he is today, in one way or another. So, whether you know him as Aubrey Graham, Jimmy Brooks, or most commonly, Drake, you're probably dying to see this man on the big screen. Now, former President Barack Obama might be the reason for Graham's re-entry.

As talks of a potential biopic about Obama blossom, the paramount question of who will play Obama has come to a foreground in the Obama household. Because of the artist's amiability and popularity, and maybe because the Obamas play "Laugh Now Cry Later" on repeat, Drake has been discussed as a possibility for the role of Obama. Now, these discussions have come to a big halt. A decision has been made.

About a week ago, Obama gave the final seal of approval: In the event of an Obama biopic, Drake will play Obama.

Drake has been preparing for this role for a decade. In a past interview he shared, "Anytime I see [Obama] on TV, I don’t change the channel." While this may seem revering, Drake admits that he's watched the news so closely solely because he's been studying Obama's intonation to perfect his impressions.

Drake has been studying for the role of a lifetime. But some of us are still holding onto the days of Jimmy Brooks. If you haven't seen Aubrey Graham act yet, you're in for a real treat.

Would you see the Obama biopic if Drake was the star? Let us know in the comments below!
