Jana made her mark earlier this summer with her debut single, “Escape Plan,” which Uproxx hailed as “an emphatic introductory statement.” This track set the stage for what fans and critics could expect from the young artist. Following it up with introspective songs like “So Stupid” and “I'll Just Say It,” she solidified her reputation as a compelling songwriter, catching the attention of outlets like Uproxx, The Honey Pop, and Sweety High. The EP culminates in the playful title track, “Season One,” where Jana deftly navigates various genres while maintaining her signature sound.

The 23-year-old artist’s ability to convey deep emotions is complemented by evocative visuals, all shot in her hometown of Cairo, Egypt. This personal touch enhances her appeal, positioning Jana as one of the most exciting new voices in music.

Born in Cairo and raised in London, Jana's musical journey has been shaped by her multicultural background. Inspired by the theatrical productions her mother introduced her to, she creates her own musical landscapes that resonate with themes of longing and identity. Drawing influences from avant-garde pop artists like Lorde and Half Waif, her songs reflect the experiences of a third-culture kid navigating the complexities of life.

Now signed to Interscope Records and working on new music and live performances, Jana Diab is ready to take her place as a standout artist to watch. With Season One, she invites listeners to join her on an emotional journey, making sense of the world one song at a time. Listen to the EP below.
