Press Play: Mariae Cassandra Drops Debut EP "Everything In My Backpocket"

Rising grunge-pop artist Mariae Cassandra introduces her debut EP Everything in My Backpocket and new single “The City,” showcasing a more mature alt pop sound shaped by fuzzy guitars, punchy drums, and the emotional clarity she has developed since her mid teens.

Inspired by artists like beabadoobee and Boygenius, the project blends pop rock energy with intimate storytelling and was created with the support of her family and closest friends. Mariae describes the EP as a collection of memories pulled from different chapters of her life, each one honest, messy, and meaningful.

“The City” captures the rush of a first real crush as her soft vocals float over driving production, exploring the way new feelings can make everyday places feel completely transformed. To celebrate the release, she will embark on her first national headline tour in early twenty twenty six, followed by a headline show in London at The Grace on February twenty fourth.

At just eighteen, the Perth artist has already built a devoted online audience and earned major recognition through national touring and festival performances.
