The Monkees Announce Farewell Tour

Iconic pop band, The Monkees, has announced a farewell tour across North America.


Surviving band members Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith will lead the tour, beginning on September 11 at Seattle's Moore Theater. Roughly two months later, The Monkees will play their final show together on November 14 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.


The band will perform songs from their entire discography, from hits like "Daydream Believer" and "I'm a Believer" to deep cuts such as "Nine Times Blue" and "Auntie's Municipal Court."


Although the band has lost members Davy Jones and Peter Tork, Dolenz and Nesmith have continued to create together, with an album Recorded by Dolenz and written by Nesmith titled Dolenz Sings Nesmith-- which is set for a May 21 release date.


General admission and VIP tickets are now available for purchase, with more to go on sale later this week. More show dates and locations will also likely be announced soon.
