Amoeba Music Will Reopen in New Hollywood Location in April

After a year-long hiatus, iconic record store Amoeba Music has announced an April reopening in a new Hollywood location.


According to the announcement, the new 23,000-square-feet location is locate across the street from the Frolic Room and the Pantages Theatre, just a block away from the Fonda.


The store will enforce COVID-19 safety protocols, including mandatory physical distancing and wearing masks. Additionally, the new temporary business hours are as follows: Monday - Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM (buy counter open from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM).


Special activities and features will be available during the April 1 grand reopening; A special opening day poster designed by L.A. artist Ivan Minsloff will be included with in-store purchases and there will be a live t-shirt silk screening outside. The silk screening will take place in the courtyard of the El Centro complex, and will be operational from 11:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Customers will pay for their t-shirt inside Amoeba's Hollywood location before taking their vouchers outside to the silk painting site.
