What's New in Fashion: From Miu Miu to Balenciaga

Our favorite new moments in fashion, hand-picked by our editors.

Miu Miu’s Arcadie Handbag

Inspired by famed artist Margaret Keane and her dream-like world, Miu Miu has revealed a campaign announcing the newest addition to their accessories collection, the Arcadie handbag, designed in their classic matelassé leather stitching. Beyond the campaign’s homage to Keane’s kitschy art, the bag itself returns to the definitive barrel-style shape and Miu Miu’s recognizable leather matelassé technique to bring a playful quilted pattern to an elegant and modern handbag. Purchase the Arcadie on the Miu Miu website.

Jacquemus X Nike

Jacquemus's creative director, Simon Porte Jacquemus, announced the upcoming release of the “JF1,” a cross between the legendary Air Force 1 sneaker and the Nike ACG Terra shoe. The hybrid features the casual components of the Air Force 1 while sporting sophistication and practicality with a deeply textured tread for ultimate traction. As the latest installment in Nike’s endless track record of designer collaborations, the sneaker looks as if it can walk straight off the runway and into the outdoors. The full collection is set to drop on the Jacquemus website later this month.

Balenciaga’s Spring 2024 Collection

During their entirely digital fashion show, Balenciaga showed off a different tone of clothing than the usual shock-factor style most of us are used to. The tone came from a place that emphasized simplistic wearability yet still managed to pull off a hint of extravagance here and there. The brand wanted to tap into “metropolitan motion,” focusing on the bustle of people moving out and about, which reflects in some of their pieces, such as large trench and maxi coats and flared pants.
