What's New in Fashion: From Gap to Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Our favorite new moments in fashion, hand-picked by our editors.

Gap x Madhappy

The GAP x Madhappy collaboration is the ultimate throwback to a pivotal moment in fashion history. This unique partnership bridges the gap between Y2K and its reinterpretation today, merging the iconic appeal of GAP's classic hoodies with Madhappy's contemporary twist. Once a staple of the early 2000s wardrobe, GAP's hoodies were synonymous with casual comfort and universal appeal, loved by everyone from supermodels to schoolchildren. Fast forward to today, and Madhappy, a brand born in 2017, brings a new interpretation of this classic garment by giving it a little spruce to cater to today's audience. This collection, inspired by GAP's 1989 "Individuals of Style" campaign, reimagines the beloved hoodie with 'MAD' branding instead of 'GAP' and features today's style icons like Devon Lee Carlson and 070 Shake. The result is a nostalgic yet modern celebration of hoodie culture that perfectly captures the essence of both eras.

New I.AM.GIA. Campaign

I.AM.GIA has just unveiled a new campaign inspired by the legendary Fashion TV network. Launched in 1997, Fashion TV was the go-to source for the latest in fashion, from exclusive events to red-carpet moments. In a nod to this fashion staple, I.AM.GIA presents "GIA TV," a collection steeped in the soul of the early 2000s and the effortless style of off-duty models. The campaign gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the glamorous shoot, capturing the exciting energy of runway preparations. Legendary supermodel Janice Dickinson is featured as the campaign’s guiding muse, infusing the collection with the full essence of nostalgia and the iconic charm of the supermodel era. Check out the new “GIA TV” collection on the  I.AM.GIA website.

Dilara x Heaven by Marc Jacobs Ft. Gigi Hadid

Heaven by Marc Jacobs brings us yet another incredible collaboration with its latest release: a grunge-inspired summer campaign featuring Gigi Hadid in a dramatic transformation. Collaborating with London-based designer Dilara Findikoglu, the collection brings back the nostalgia of the early 2000s grunge era, drawing heavily from Avril Lavigne’s iconic style. Photographed by Alana O’herlihy and styled by Danielle Emerson, the campaign vividly captures Findikoglu’s vision of her ideal high school wardrobe. One standout piece, a black miniskirt inspired by her much-loved but controversial Topshop high school skirt, embodies the rebellious spirit of her youth and the collection itself. The intricate corset print, designed by Sophie McElligott, is meant to be a whimsical depiction of Marie Antoinette’s feast. Looking at this collaboration, Findikoglu’s aim with this collection is clear: to bring the girls of today the dream wardrobe she wished for herself during her school years. Get a closer look at the collection on the Heaven by Marc Jacobs Website.
